TikToker Says Sleep-Talking Revealed the Woman He Was Seeing

A sleepover that took an unexpected turn

A TikTok video from creator @zaydagangstaa, who goes by Zay, has drawn more than 427,000 views and 1,522 comments. In it, he says he learned the woman he was seeing was involved with someone else after she spoke in her sleep. The Daily Dot reported on the video and noted it could not independently verify his claims, which rest solely on his own account.

Fries, a phone and a sleepy slip

Zay says he and the woman, whom he called his girl, spent the evening at her apartment, where he had ordered food. They shared a big portion of fries at her dining room table, each with a hamburger. Her phone sat near the fries, and when he reached for more, she apparently thought he was going for it and grabbed it quickly. He noticed her anxious reaction but says he did not suspect anything.

After dinner, she persuaded him to stay the night. He expected to watch movies together, but she soon fell asleep, so he put one on by himself. While it played, she began sleep-talking. He first thought she was joking and still awake, then listened closely and heard her say, “Brandon. . . Brandon.” His own name is Isaiah.

What he says he found on her phone

Zay says he knew her passcode and, although he admitted they were not officially dating and that he does not usually go through a woman’s phone, he decided to look. He says he found she had been messaging someone named Brandon for months. In one message, she apparently told Brandon that Zay had left a white Spider hoodie at her place and that Brandon could wear it.

Zay says he had paid $200 for the hoodie and gave it to her because she said she wanted it. He said he was now more focused on getting it back than on confronting Brandon about talking to her. After checking Brandon’s social media, he says he learned Brandon was married and found a post of Brandon proposing to his wife while wearing the hoodie. Zay said he could confront the woman, confront Brandon over the hoodie, or text Brandon’s wife.

Commenters question the “cheating” label

Many commenters focused on the relationship status. Zay later said the two were still in the “talking phase,” and one person wrote, “Dawg if you guys aren’t officially dating then that’s not cheating.” Another said, “I don’t think it’s your girlfriend. You guys aren’t dating so technically you didn’t get cheated on because you guys were talking and she had other options.”

Others urged him to take more dramatic action. One wrote, “Don’t pick, do it ALL. Confront your girl, the guy AND tell the wife. Bro you gotta be willing to burn it all down.”
